Marti is a unique shaman, diviner, healer, and teacher with more than 28 years of specialized training in shamanic arts and related fields.

Marti holds a BA from Harvard University in biochemistry, with secondary studies in neuro-physiology, and an MFA in graphic design from the Yale School of Art and Architecture. Her professional activities prior to her emergence in the shamanic world include research in pharmacological neurophysiology and 20 years as a practicing graphic designer and president of her own design firm. She is also trained and mentored in visionary craniosacral work, psychology, and a wide variety of other healing modalities.

Her deep journey into her own healing and initiation includes extensive travels in the Arctic, South America, Nepal, Africa, and Siberia. Much of her training has occurred through private mentor relationships and initiations with indigenous shamans and diviners on four continents.

Marti brings to Shaman’s Light the designer’s imagination, the scientist’s love of exploration, the artist’s eye for beauty, and the shaman’s wide-awake vision. She also brings the wisdom of her experience on the path of awakening, a path that calls everyone who steps onto it to weave the known and the unknown and release into what can be.

Marti’s visioning and guidance continue to move me into a new relationship with time and energy. Her teachings on crafting reality, maintaining commitment, and reaching deeper in my work are highly empowering.
